VILLA AMAN | PORT DOUGLAS

The secluded Villa Aman stands on the hilltop overlooking the iconic Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas. Always a residence of prestige, LWID embarked on a transformational styling of the Villa, breathing new life into its dramatic interiors to create an oasis of luxury suitable for a high-end holiday rental.

Drawing inspiration from the Villa’s location and the natural elements of sea, land and flora, LWID sensitively incorporated details invoking the deep-rooted Indigenous culture. Conscious of environmental impact, some existing pieces of furniture were lovingly repurposed and harmonised with newly sourced items including furniture, rugs, décor and bed linen.  

Embracing its new identity as a place of tranquility and serenity, a subtle palette of neutral tones and richer, accent shades were used throughout the interior. Contrasting textiles and a tactile mix of materials such as wood, leather and linen, further add to the feeling of calm and comfort. Within a very short project timeframe, Villa Aman’s unique charm and character were brought back to life.
